Fortune recently revealed a list of the world’s most admired companies, and to our delight, The Walt Disney Company received accolades in several categories. We’re particularly excited about ranking in the top two for Quality of Products & Services Offered, as it relates directly to what we do at our convention resorts every day.
If you’ve ever visited a Disney theme park or resort, we hope that you noticed a high level of quality and attentive service from our Cast Members (Disney-speak for employees). It is our priority to anticipate guests’ needs and deliver flawless results—whether guests are visiting for business or vacation.
When you reserve a meeting or group event, you work directly with one of our Event Services Managers, who has made it his/her mission to become an expert in providing this high-quality service to both your attendees and you. Since they work so closely with meeting and event planners, we asked a few of our Event Services Managers about the most common questions they receive—and shared their answers, to give you an inside look at the service they’re providing on a daily basis. Take a look:
We have some attendees with dietary restrictions. Do they need to bring their own food?
Our chefs can often substitute different ingredients or offer other food options to accommodate dietary restrictions or allergies. You can work directly with your Event Services Manager to develop a list of the special dietary needs. He/she will review with the chefs to come up with a menu that will suit your needs.
Who do I contact if I need assistance during the meetings?
We want to ensure you can reach a Cast Member at any time for assistance. You have direct access to your personal Event Services Manager (by calling or texting), and our Catering Guest Services Managers can be reached by cell phone or by using any house phone in all of our meeting rooms located at our convention resorts.
If my attendees have a day in a theme park, are there any fun activities we could do together as a group?
Absolutely! There are plenty of activities that small and large groups can enjoy together within the theme parks. We can arrange for a catered dinner in one of our private event venues, an interactive team building experience or a private dessert party with a special view of an exciting nighttime spectacular.
Do you have any recommendations for a private dinner for our Executive Committee or Board of Directors?
Yes, we have several private event spaces at our Disney resorts, restaurants and theme parks perfect for groups of all sizes. A few examples from Walt Disney World Resort include the Napa and Sonoma Rooms at California Grill. Both rooms are very popular and offer an intimate setting for executive groups on the 15th floor of Disney’s Contemporary Resort. Executive groups looking for a wild culinary adventure will enjoy the private dining room at Jiko - The Cooking Place at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge. Attendees can also enjoy interactive culinary experiences at our private chef’s tables available at Disney’s Coronado Springs and Disney’s Contemporary Resorts. And in the heart of Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa, the award-winning Napa Rose restaurant offers private dining experiences with California-inspired seasonal fare and a team of expert sommeliers to select the perfect pairings.
Our Event Services Managers, like all of our Cast Members, are dedicated to providing support for you, our client. From dietary restrictions in the pre-event planning to changing room temperature mid-event, they are a constant resource that you can leverage during both planning and event execution.
We’re honored to be recognized on Fortune’s list, and look forward to continuing our legacy in bringing great quality to all of our products and services, to attendees and planners just like you, for many years to come.
