As part of our ongoing Unexpected Event Venue series, we’ll introduce you to a dynamic and unique space at Walt Disney World Resort in Florida, Disneyland Resort in California or Aulani, a Disney Resort & Spa in Hawaii

Introducing our latest unexpected event venue: Conservation Station at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park.

Located just a quick trip from the Disney convention resorts, Disney’s Animal Kingdom is located at the Walt Disney World Resort in Florida. Nestled in the heart of the park is Conservation Station at Rafiki’s Planet Watch, a wildlife center featuring animal encounters, interactive exhibits and a veterinary facility. This unexpected event venue is a perfect place to host a networking reception, dinner buffet or awards banquet, and is available for groups up to 150 guests.

Attendees enter Conservation Station through a colorfully painted montage of exotic animals. Here, chirping crickets, trickling waterfalls, birdcalls, and distant animal sounds draw them in to this dramatic setting.

Lush foliage surrounds the room, setting the stage for this exotic affair. Tables are set with sunrise taffeta linen and shimmering votive candles, while large, green monstera leaves are used as placemats. The look is completed with beautiful floral centerpieces paired with safari drums, gold lantern terrariums, and wooden animals.

Enhance the experience for your guests even further by showcasing the venue’s various interactive exhibits with an Animal Programs presenter to answer questions about wildlife, ecosystems, and the resources that are key to animal survival. Animal experts can even bring out small, native creatures for a close-up and personal encounter your guests won’t soon forget. Or, take your event to the next level with an appearance from Mickey and Minnie dressed in their safari-themed attire to greet and interact with your guests.

New nighttime entertainment options are also available at Disney’s Animal Kingdom for attendees to experience. Consider adding a ride aboard Kilimanjaro Safaris just after sunset, or a nighttime journey through the Himalayan Mountains on Expedition Everest. With these experiences, attendees can enjoy the park’s captivating new vibe and tone at any time, day or night.
