Some groups that reserve meetings at a Disney Destination also look for fun and engaging events that attendees can participate in, either as team building activities or as part of the entertainment for the meeting.

Take a look at three exciting activities you can do that you might not expect:

Wild Africa Trek

Group team building takes a wild turn with Disney’s Animal Kingdom’s Wild Africa Trek. Groups will embark on a three-hour guided safari tour that goes beyond a typical guest experience for up-close encounters with wildlife. The Wild Africa Trek was recently featured in Corporate & Incentive Travel as an experience Gregory J. Butler, the director of the global supply chain stewardship at Franklin Lakes, used to create a truly unique team building activity for his employees.

“We started off on foot through the savannah,” Butler says. “Then we were on a shaky rope bridge about 10 feet above a river bed with hippos and crocodiles. It was safe because we were wearing a harness that was tied off to an overhead track. But it was still exciting. And it also served as a type of team building, since we were all encouraging each other across the rope bridge. Everybody pulled together.” This unique experience delivers a team building that attendees will never forget.

Authentic Hawaiian Activities

The adventure of hosting groups at Disney’s Aulani Resort & Spa in Hawaii is enhanced by the team building activities that you can add to your tropical event. Disney brings creativity to the forefront through activities like lei making, kapa printing, hula lessons and more.

Grand I Specialty Cruise

Groups enjoying meetings in the Walt Disney World Resort area can reserve a specialty cruise aboard the Grand I, a 52-foot yacht that can accommodate 18 guests. Attendees can experience the resort from a whole new perspective as they sail around Bay Lake and Seven Seas Lagoon with the help of an experienced captain and crew. Add a customized menu to turn this activity into a luxurious brunch, dinner or dessert party. You can even choose an evening cruise to catch the Magic Kingdom fireworks show for a completely unique experience!

No matter the size of your group, or the type of entertainment and events you are planning, with Disney you can choose from a variety of team building programs that are adventurous, educational, entertaining and active.
