By combining these two ideas, our event designers have developed an event theme that is sure to leave attendees feeling like royalty.

Today, we are sharing one of our latest featured event themes, the Glass Slipper Dinner.

It’s not every day that meeting and event attendees have the opportunity to attend a dinner fit for royalty, but that’s exactly what they can experience at a Glass Slipper Dinner—an event concept created exclusively for events held at a Disney Park or Disney convention hotel. Loosely based on the timeless classic fairytale story, Cinderella, our event designers recently developed a stunning themed dinner concept that’s tailored for adults, complete with elegant decor and a deliciously themed menu.

While the event can be created at many of Disney’s distinctive indoor and outdoor private event spaces, the awe-inspiring décor pairs particularly well with the exclusive setting of the Whitehall Patio at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. This spectacular private group event space affords a one-of-a-kind view of the Magic Kingdom’s iconic Cinderella Castle, which serves as the backdrop for this royal dining experience.

“The Glass Slipper Dinner is designed to transport our guests into the alluring and sparkling world of the Cinderella fantasy like no other dining experience,” said Laurie Gilliar, Disney Event Designer.

Keeping in mind every small detail, even the dinner menus themselves are engraved on glowing crystal storybooks, which serve as the perfect keepsake for attendees to enjoy long after their dining experience. The one-of-a-kind crystal storybook menus illuminate as part of the tablescape, and are engraved with each individual Guest’s name along the spine.

Of course, the highlight of the event is the succulent feast designed by our world-class chefs. Meeting and event planners can choose to create a custom menu for their group or they can select from a variety of signature tasting menus.

This private group dining experience allows guests to savor every aspect of a royal gathering. Each of the unique design elements, from the food to the décor, to the interaction with Disney chefs, create a truly immersive and unforgettable event. The best part about this experience is that it is completely customizable. Everything from the menu to the table décor, such as the beautiful rotating crystal glass slippers at each place setting or the twinkle lights surrounding the area, can be modified or adjusted to suit the event planner’s preference and budget.

“The feedback from our guests so far is that the experience is like nothing they have ever attended,” said Gilliar. “One attendee even commented having tears of joy recalling what a truly unique fantasy she experienced.”
