From our unique culinary innovations to superb attention to detail, the Disney Meetings team creates magical moments every day that leave attendees feeling engaged and inspired. We are constantly looking for the latest and greatest way to provide incredible meeting and event experiences to event planners and their attendees. And, one way that our event designers orchestrate these memorable moments is through the creation of unique, themed event experiences that completely immerse attendees into the story of the event.

Today, we are pleased to share one of our latest featured event themes: Off The Land.

Upon entering this gourmet celebration, attendees will experience the rustic charm of the land’s bountiful harvest. A dream-come-true for fans of farm-to-table dining, this delectable dining event is as much a visual feast as is it is a culinary exploration.

“We have expanded the farm-to-table concept to create a feast using the vast bounty of sites, smells and tastes from our local markets,” said Laurie Gilliar, Disney Event Designer. “The décor, plates, aromas and tastes, even the wine paired with each course, are seamlessly combined to tell the story of the land.” Originally designed to coincide with the Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival, this event concept can be created for a group, any time of the year at many different venues, whether it be breakfast, lunch, dinner or anything in between.

Dressed with quaint burlap runners, the earthy tables show off nature’s color with fresh-cut flowers in milk vases, potted root vegetables and herbs. And, in keeping each seemingly minuscule detail in mind, attendees will find their dinner menus printed on a burlap seed bag at each individual place setting.

This private group dining experience allows guests to savor every aspect of a farm-to-table dinner. Each of the unique design elements, from the food to the décor, to the interaction with Disney chefs, creates a truly immersive and unforgettable event. The best part about this experience is that it is completely customizable. Everything from the menus to the table décor, such as the individualized menus, can be modified or adjusted to suit the event planner’s preference and budget.

“The feedback from our guests so far is that the experience left them feeling inspired,” said Gilliar. “Many of them even noted that they felt transported, not only by the farm tastes and aromas, but also the creatively imagined flower displays, table settings and topiaries which allowed them to remain completely immersed during the entirety of their dining event.”
