At Disney Meetings, our team takes fantastical stories and turns them into reality for meetings and private events. Whether it’s a rustic forest feast or an elaborate farm-to-table event, by combining our passion for creating immersive experiences with our expertise in storytelling, our event designers can craft a customized event to fit a specific message.

With Halloween right around the corner, we wanted to share one of our spookiest event themes: Room for One More.

Based on Disney Parks’ beloved Haunted Mansion® attraction, Room For One More alludes to the famous line spoken by the “Ghost Host” at the beginning of the attraction that Guests hear after they have boarded their doom buggy: “We have 999 happy haunts here, but there’s room for a thousand…any volunteers?” Drawing inspiration from this experience, Disney event designers have created a one-of-a-kind, private-event theme in which attendees embark on an eerie journey into the Haunted Mansion—from the nightmarish library, to the frightening ballroom, to the infamous graveyard—where they are immersed into the story and each guest is considered to become the mansion’s final “haunt.”

Hosted by Broom, the Butler and his Melancholy Maid, the evening progresses with hauntingly happy moments as humorous ghosts visit attendees at their table during dinner. Inspired by the whimsical ambiance, the unique personalized menu includes “Bloody Beet Risotto with Heirloom Graveyard Vegetables” and “Pan Seared Howling Halibut with Dead Sea Butter Sauce.” As attendees ”˜dig in’ to their devilishly delicious meal, they will also experience signature entertainment, such as Madame Fortunatta’s séance and a Broadway-like performance by gravediggers and caretakers. At the end of the evening, the event concludes when the 999 happy haunts find their new forever volunteer.

“What’s spectacular about this event, aside from the fact that we immerse event attendees into the storyline of a world-famous Disney attraction, is that all of the parts and pieces are interchangeable. If a client wants music, extra entertainment or a variety of menus, we can provide that,” said Mark Huffman, Disney Event Designer. “We want to bring this story to life using the imaginations of all those involved.”

Available for groups up to 250, this completely customizable experience gives event planners the ability to adjust and arrange scenes from the supernatural storyline to fit their timeline, preferences and budget, all while keeping attendees and entertained in an unforgettable way.
